Posh – Ferguson on Preston Defeat.

With only a draw to show from four matches it must be a frustrating time for Darren Ferguson.

Our back-to-back promotions had given us cause to believe that we could march onwards and upwards but instead we`ve simply stuttered along and although, at times, we`ve matched our opposition, we`ve succumbed to lapses of concentration.

After the game it was these lapses that Darren spoke about in his post match press conference remarking,

“It`s something I spoke about before the game, concentration at the start of the game. They got an early goal in the eighth minute and it`s hard enough at Preston away.”

“And then obviously it goes to two and we get back at them a little and get in behind them. But we couldn`t really break them down, especially after they went to five in midfield.”

With our next fixture a Caring Cup clash against fellow Championship strugglers Ipswich, let`s hope we have something to cheer about at the end of ninety minutes.
