The man in charge of the Sky Bet League One match between Peterborough United and Oldham Athletic at the ABAX Stadium is SEB STOCKBRIDGE.

Referee Seb Stockbridge sends off Jack Baldwin v Oxford

Referee Seb Stockbridge is in his fifth season as a Football League referee and has officiated 8 Posh matches and 8 Latics matches including one match between the two sides!

That clash was back in the 2015/16 season when Grant McCann took temporary charge of the Posh team and beat their hosts 5-1. Lee Angol and Souleymane Coulibaly both scored a brace with the other goal coming from Erhun Oztumer. Posh collected three of the five yellow cards dished out in the match by Stockbridge.

Of those eight matches, Posh have only won two of those matches which came in the same season as that win over the Latics. This time Posh won two-one at Darren Ferguson`s Doncaster Rovers. Aaron Williams and Ricardo Almerida Santos [pictured below] scored the Posh goals with the winner coming in the 93rd minute while they also picked up another three yellow cards out of the four cards shown during the match.

The last Posh match Stockbridge officiated came earlier this season at Walsall. Former Posh midfielder Erhun Oztumer gave the hosts a 38th minute lead but Gwion Edwards leveled things in the 72nd minute. Three yellow cards were shown in the match with Posh picking up two of them.

The Latics have a better record with Stockbridge in charge having won their first two matches under the officiating of Stockbridge by four goals to one! The first match was at Shrewsbury Town in the Johnstone`s Paint Trophy in September 2013 with the second coming three months later in the FA Cup when the Latics won at Mansfield Town.

All three yellow cards shown in the Shrews match were received by Latics players while three card were also shown in the Stags match. The Latics only picked up one yellow card in the match with their hosts picking up one yellow and one straight red card!

Oldham have also had Stockbridge referee one of their matches this season. That was in a Checkatrade Trophy match at Crewe Alexandra which the Latics won one-nil thanks to a Jack Byrne goal just before half-time. Byrne also picked up the only Latics yellow card in the match with the Alex picking up the other two.

So far this season, Stockbridge has officiated 27 matches issuing 81 yellow cards and four red cards.

The last match he officiated came just over a week ago in another Checkatrade Trophy match. This time it was at Bury who lost 3-2 to Fleetwood Town. The Cod Army picked up the only yellow card of the match.

The last League One match refereed by Stockbridge came in early December between Oxford United and Doncaster Rovers. Josh Ruffles won the match in the last minute for Oxford with the only goal of the game while both sides shared six yellow cards each.

His statistics for the last few seasons in the Football League are:
